How to Play Giant Checkers
Giant Checkers is a very simple game and you can really enjoy this game once you know how to play. To begin the game, players have to decide who will play first. Whoever goes first will have to take the black coloured checkers while the other player takes the white coloured checkers.
Before you set up the mat make sure that both the players have the light-coloured square check on their respective right-hand side. All the giant checkers pieces are placed on the dark coloured square occupying the bottom three rows. The checkers may only move in diagonal directions on the dark side.
The player with the black checkers will always move first. The aim of the game is to capture your opponent’s checker by hoping or jumping over with your checker’s piece. It is important to note that, to make this move the opponent’s square box has to be empty. If you have the opportunity to jump your opponent’s checker, then you have to take it. If there are multiple opportunity then you can choose which one to take. You can only move forward once but if there are empty spaces following the capture then you have to continue until you can’t capture any more of your opponent’s checkers.
