Suunto’s Smart Heart Rate Belt measures your heart rate accurately without sacrificing comfort. The belt allows measuring heartrate while wearing the watch on top of the sleeve, attached to the bike handlebar, or even not wearing the watch at all during the exercise, allowing for superior performance in sports where hand movement disturbs wrist heart rate measurements.

When the watch is not within range of the Bluetooth smart radio, the Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt has an R-R memory that is used. This is useful in team sports, where it allows recording without the need to wear a watch.

The Suunto 3, 5, 9, Spartan, Ambit3 and Traverse watches all have a memory function.
