The Skinners Story
Lightweight backup footwear “Skinners” was invented by young law clerk Petr Prochazka. Idea came from Norway, where he worked as a cook back in summer 2014. The “aha moment” hit Prochazka when his friend injured a foot and could not wear traditional shoes. Struggling to help him, Prochazka took travel sewing kit and created first prototype of Skinners.
Two years later he introduced final product to the world via Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign. Raising more than 650 000 USD project became the most funded footwear project ever.
