The thought record allows you to enter and keep a record of each thought, while providing a list of both feelings and thought distortions through which you can explore and select the feeling and thought distortion that most aptly describes how you feel and the belief and reasoning behind that thought.
The opportunity then exists for you to share the thought with a friend, life coach or even a therapist. A record of your thoughts also provides a chance to review how often you have a thought, what the various triggers are and can also allow you to focus in on the distortions which allow these thoughts and feelings to flourish and grow.
